Session 1
The party gathered to meet with the Mistmaster at a forgotten cliff dwelling in the Evereskan vale.
The Mistmaster explained the history of Netheril, the lifedrain spell, and the origin of the phaerimm.
He explained his intention find a way to unweave the lifedrain, and to end the phaerimm once and for all.
The party was enlisted to help his research. The first target is Ascore, an ancient dwarven trading port, in which ancient relics of Netheril still exist behind unviolated wards.
He gave the party a key which can turn any doorway into a portal to his realm in the High Forest.
After he left, the party was assaulted by a cell of the Eldreth Veluuthra, who had been spying on them. In their cowardly sneak attack, they nearly struck the party down, but they were overcome. The party disposed of all but one, who they interrogated to learn from whence they came.
